Cleaning the Cubicle the Green Way
The non-profit Green Seal, which offers a green seal of approval for environmentally friendly cleaning products, has now expanded to include a certification for green cleaning services.
Green Seal has certified just three companies so far, but that list will certainly grow as demand for greener cleaning increases. The three cleaning services include CleanPower, the largest full-service cleaning operator in Wisconsin; ABM Janitorial Services at Seattle Tacoma International Airport; and C.J. Maintenance Environmentally Preferred Green Cleaning Solution cleaning program that cleans buildings from Baltimore to Washington, D.C.
I'm sure there are many other green cleaning companies providing great service, but with the abundance of choices and a range of what qualifies as green, a certification certainly makes it easier for businesses to choose a vendor. Plus, a certification makes a cleaning company more marketable.
Cleaning service companies can apply for the certification at www.Green Seal.org.
