Pretzels, In-Flight Movies and Carbon Offsets
If the person sitting next to you in seat 26B purchased a carbon offset for the flight, would you feel the need to as well? - right in front of the other passengers' faces.
Apparently online offers to attempt customers to purchase offsets while they purchase tickets just aren't working. So why not try a bit of good old-fashioned friendly competition, or as some might say, guilt tripping?
Sure we should cut back our flights, but offsetting the ones we do take is a good second choice. This is kind of a forceful way to encourage the purchase of offsets, but hey, perhaps that's what must happen. I'm just wondering whether the majority of people flying have even heard of a carbon offset. Will the education occur on the plane, or will people just think that because everyone else is doing it they should, too?
