GM's Challenge X competition asks students to design cars powered by alternative energies, such as biodiesels, plug-in hybrids, hydrogen fuel cells, E85 ethanol and anything else they can think of. The goal is to re-engineer the Equinox to increase fuel economy and reduce emissions, while still attracting consumers.
The Solar Decathlon is the place for students and universities to pair solar energy with houses, from the design phase to building and operation. The gorgeous designs are inspirational and drool-worthy.
