Book Helps You to Tell the Story of Climate Change
Metcalf recently published the book, Communicating on Climate Change: An Essential Resource for Journalists, Scientists, and Educators, written by Bud Ward to help the media and scientists speak clearly about climate change to educate, create awareness, and hopefully, inspire the public and corporations to take action.
The book -- which is also available as a free download -- begins with a discussion urging the media to get their facts correct and to accurately listen to scientists. The following chapter asks scientists to communicate in ways that generate public and media attention. What a way to lead: collaboration on both sides.
The remainder of the book offers advice on how to take action: from educating school youth to presenting to multiple media outlets. How to articles and interactive, engaging dialog scenarios are used to generate a call to action of readers.
Metcalf, amongst their other efforts, is an organization dedicated to delivering accurate, science-based information about the environment.
