Solar Bra Leads "Charge" In Green Fashion
Yeah, and you though sustainable clothing was limited to organic cotton, locally produced, or exchanged via the principles of fair trade. If it's any consolation, though, this thing looks a lot less comfortable.
Since the "undergarment" needs to be worn uncovered to be effective (not to mention the bulky size, constrictive design, and lack of water resistance) I don't see it becoming a huge fashion trend, and Triumph, the lingerie manufacturer behind the device, seems to agree. It has no plans to bring the bra to stores any time soon, because "people usually can not go outside without wearing clothes over it".
Of course, this isn't exactly a new idea, but it does continue an important trend toward eco-friendly undergarments over the past few years, highlighting the growing popularity of keeping the future of the environment close to your heart.
