Sustainable Management Program Adds Faculty

The Presidio School of Management has added several big names in sustainability to their teaching staff. The school offers MBA and executive programs in sustainable management, including this summer’s Executive Program in Sustainable Management where those big names will be headlining. They’ll include:

  • Hunter Lovins — Lovins was Time Magazine’s Millenium Hero of the Planet. She’s even been called the “green business icon” by Newsweek. She consults on sustainability issues with big corporations like Wal-Mart and Royal Dutch / Shell.
  • Gil Friend — Friend is the president and CEO of Natural Logic.
  • Jay Ogilvy — Ogilvy advices Fortune 500 companies on strategic planning through the Global Business Network, which he co-founded. He has also taught at Yale, Williams College and the University of Texas.
  • Sissel Waage — Waage is an expert is sustainability design and markets. Currently, she is consulting with a consortium made up of BP, Chevron, Exxon Mobil and Shell.

While more schools are beginning to offer specializations in sustainability and similar topics, the Presidio School of Management remains something of a trailblazer. They started their program in 2003 and have attracted a wide variety of students.
