Dell Continues to Reap Benefits of Green Campaign

Word travels fast, no? Mere days after word of the 23-watt laptop breaks, Dell announces further developments in its all-out effort to become the greenest computer company in the world.  How all-out? The company is shooting for complete carbon neutrality by the end of the year.

With the nearly unprecedented rise of Apple over the last half-decade (a company the Dell founder once said ought to liquidate itself),  and Dell’s market cap gradually sliding in comparison, the United State’s largest PC producer is looking to sharpen its image, and it’s coming with some nice returns.

Improvements in general efficiency have saved the company over two million dollars since their inception, and Dell’s high-profile green prototypes may have given it the edge in a long running sales battle with domestic rival Hewlett-Packard. Here’s more big green news from the PC giant in the future.
