Free Carbon Credits, With Purchase
Green Energy Resources is offering bankable carbon credits with long-term contracts for sourced wood. Green Energy Resources sells sourced wood, certified with UTCS (the urban tree certification system) for a variety of uses, including power production, cellulostic ethanol and wood pellet manufacturers.
The carbon credits are added to renewable energy credits, rather than replacing them, offering an edge to businesses needing to purchase wood but facing a negative carbon credit balance. Furthermore, Green Energy Resources’ wood is 100 percent Kyoto compliant, and meets all EU regulatory requirements. It can enter the EU while other companies’ wood cannot. The use of UTCS certification guarantees third party verification and complete chain of custody documentation.
Green Energy Resources estimates that buyers will get an additional $10 to $30 value for every ton of wood purchased through the company. The carbon credits will be registered on American emission trading markets, and will also be offered through an established international emissions broker. They may be purchased by European, American and UK energy companies. Green Energy Resources is offering the wood, with credits, on an FOB USA basis for European and Asian buyers.
