Monadnock Papers Markets Green
When it comes to marketing a company as green, actions can speak larger than words. Monadnock Paper Mills is focusing on those actions when marketing their paper products. They're telling their customers that isn't enough to print brochures on recycled paper.
A new product may have packaging, a shopping bag and price tags. Monadnock is trying to convince customers that all of those elements need to be made from recycled materials in order to truly be able to market themselves on green. They have made a pretty clear point: sure, it's a step in the right direction to print marketing materials on recycled stock, but most companies print a lot more than just marketing materials.
Monadnock put forth this argument to market their own lines of recycled papers, but it can stand on its own. They're fully supporting their initiative, though. Monadnock produces a design guide to help print designers make the switch to recycled papers: A Field Guide for Eco-Friendly, Efficient and Effective Print. It's been made available as a free PDF, and over 100,000 copies have been downloaded.
As a company, Monadnock has truly put their money where their mouths are when it comes to sustainability. All of the company's manufacturing for printing and packaging papers are powered entirely by renewable electricity. Their papers are all carbon neutral.
