Euro Company Shrinks the Water Treatment Plant

Luxembourg-based purification company Epuramat has introduced a system that finally makes potable portable. Their innovative shipping container-sized water treatment plant, called Box4Water, can singly slake a village's thirst.

As the water crisis deepens with increasing population and looming climate change, the purification industry will reap the benefits. Right now, purification tends to occupy ends of a spectrum. If you are a frequent camper, you may have a hand-held pump that removes nasties like giardia from stream water. Then there are high-end plants like the 600 million gallon per day megaplant being built in Dubai.

Epuramat's Box4Water is a 20 foot long container with everything you need to hydrate up to 200 people per day. The key, says the company, is their Ex-Sep (for Extreme Separator) system, which deftly sorts solids and liquids which can serve up 2,500 liters of crystal clear goodness an hour.

Box4Water's biggest advantages are portability and a short build time. The target audience for this invention is broad, including small industry, international aid organizations, and FEMA. All you survivalist-types will want to know that you can pick one up starting at 150,000 Euros - financing available.

Yeah, but can I get it with an ice maker?

Very neat and concise detail. I think Industrial waste water is the biggest source of water pollution. Many industries do not properly handle their waste water. Contacting a Water Consultant is a good choice. That way we can reduce water pollution and increase industrial treatment
