GE Lighting Signs LED Licensing Agreement With Rambus
by Alison Kroulek GE Lighting just announced that it has signed an licensing agreement with Rambus Inc. to use Rambus’ LED product designs and manufacturing knowledge to develop a flat-panel LED lighting system that can be used in architectural and commercial lighting.
In a press release, Michael B. Petras, Jr., president and CEO of GE Lighting, commented on the news:
"One of our objectives as a lighting innovator is to quickly launch leading-edge products that can accelerate the adoption of quality LED lighting solutions around the world in commercial and residential settings. We want to provide customers with more unique LED innovations, and this agreement helps us get there faster."
