Putting Wood Scraps to Use
by Glenn Meyers
This end-grain coffee table, built in 1978, was built from red oak cut-offs that were destined for the trash can.
I wonder what uses people might find today around a construction site from the scrap that’s hauled away to the landfill. Certainly the discarded materials that lie around have the potential to spark the imagination.
This is the kind of thought process demanded when thinking about sustainability.

Very ietirestnng statistics on the savings of consumption of global energy. I hope more and more of Texas goes green. I've been interested in green building for a long time. While I sometimes work with McGraw Hill, I have found their site about Texas construction building to be the best and have recommended it for years. In addition to all their extensive information, they have a lot on green building. Check it out
