John Ghazvinian spent two years touring Nigeria, Angola, Chad, Equatorial Guinea, and several other African nations exploring how they have been impacted by the influx of international oil companies. He depicts how the billions of dollars that have flowed into the nations have mostly gone to the filling the pockets of government leaders. Most countries have had lowered per capita income, a reduction in human rights, and little improvement in infrastructure.
